The Project

This project was designed around the idea of creating movement throughout the entire backyard.

Water, fire, elevation changes, and gathering spaces were all positioned to make the property feel active without feeling crowded.

Anderson Poolworks designed and built a freeform swimming pool with a raised spa integrated into a large natural rock waterfall system. Multiple cascading water features flow directly into the pool and create a strong visual focal point from nearly every angle of the yard.

OUTDOOR LIVING DETAILS

A curved concrete pool deck wraps around the water and provides open circulation between the spa, pool, lounge seating, and fire pit patio.

The fire feature was positioned intentionally near the pool edge to create a separate gathering area while still remaining connected to the rest of the space.

LANDSCAPE & LIGHTING DESIGN

Natural boulder groupings and layered plantings were used throughout the project to soften transitions between the hardscape and surrounding wooded property. Elevation changes across the yard were incorporated into the waterfall system and patio layout instead of being treated as obstacles during construction.

At night, landscape lighting and fire features completely change the atmosphere of the backyard. Reflections from the water, illuminated waterfalls, and surrounding stonework help the entire property feel connected long after the sun goes down.
